It's been a while...

I really hope to update this blog more... especially now that I am not working! I need to find things to keep me busy so I don't go stir crazy and get another job... lol!! (seriously though.)

This week has been a rough one. On Monday we thought we were having a 4th child already... and Tuesday our world changed quickly when we discovered the baby was no longer alive. It's been hard, even though it was unexpected... we really started to love the idea of another baby coming.

I had a d&c yesterday and slept all day today, thanks to my friends! Danny mentioned to me when this all happened, that maybe "we are supposed to be learning something from this"... obviously he is correct, as the Lord usually works that way. One thing I have learned for sure, is the amazing friends I have! I have been brought to tears over there willingness to take my kids for the day, or bring dinner, or come over with girl movies and goodies, etc... the list goes on and on! I have also learned how much more I need to be there for my friends. I want to be that kind of friend too. I love you girls, thank you for making life not so hard sometimes.

Memorial Day

Over the past few years, my brother Brady and I have made a "tradition" somewhat, to go with our families on Memorial Day to visit our Grandpa's grave site. This year my sister Mallory joined us too! He served as a pilot in WWII and we feel it's a perfect time to remember him as well as my Grandma on this day. Thanks Carlie for the flowers! You never miss the important details that I ALWAYS forget. =)

After the visiting the grave site, we went to my sister Lindsay's house to celebrate Maddie turning 3. We swam and ate... and Merrick had a blast with Daddy, shooting hoops!

I love his face in the one below. Totally trying his HARDEST to get the basketball in the hoop. You can see it right on his face like, "come on, come one... I got it!" I love it! He would clap "yeah" every time he got it in the hoop. He LOVES balls. If he can throw it, it's a ball. He grabs magnets off the fridge and says "ball" and then chucks it across my kitchen. To him, if he can throw it, then it's a BALL. LOL

Lily's preschool Graduation

Lily graduated from preschool this past week! Super cute, and kind of funny. It was nice, Danny was able to take off work that morning to come see his oldest child "graduate preschool". LOL. Grandma Standifird was even there! Lily was very excited about that.

On to the next stage of your life Lilybug.

I can't believe she is 5, and going to kindergarten already. WOW, how fast time passes.

Ms. Amy and Ms. Sherry do such a great job! Lily loved them both sooooo much.
I'm excited that Macy will be going to Ms. Amy next year... she goes above and beyond on everything for those kids. Truly amazing!

Over the weekend we had a Tinker-Fairy birthday party for our Macy Kate. She turned 4 on May 3rd... can't believe how fast she is growing up! We had all of our family over for pizza, ice-cream, and cupcakes... Yum, Yum!

All the little girlies dressed up as fairy's and princess's and had "pixie dust" put on their cheekies as they came in to the party... it was a sight to see!

Macy was so excited to be "Tinkerbell", as that is her favorite fairy! She takes after her mother as you can see... by all my Tinkerbell figurines. =)

Bye Bye Camera!

So last night I was getting "packed" in the car to take the kiddos to my neices, Regan and Emma's Birthday party. I say "packed" because I literally have to do exactly that when I leave the house. Not to mention, I had my sister's 2 girls with us and Danny was at work. So here I am with 5 kids getting in the car... oh wait, Merrick's bottle. Oh wait, the presents! Oh wait, (each time I say "oh wait" I'm hopping out of the car running back into the house to get what it is I forgot!) Oh wait, THE CAMERA! Can't go to a b-day party with a BOUNCER without my camera...

Well, that is when the unfortunate event happened. I ran out my 10th time to get my camera, hopped back into my sequioa, and BAM! The camera fell out of my hands onto the concrete in the garage. So bye, bye Canon Powershot... =(

I am sad...

But, I have to say... a little excited!

Why, you ask? Because now I can get what I have been wanting for 3 years...

A REAL slr camera... the Canon Rebel! I'm sure Danny doesn't like this... but I think it may be a blessing in disguise! =) lol.

So, I sure hope to get this soon... as I am addicted to taking pictures and I already feel lost knowing I don't have access to a camera if I need it!

It was funny because at the party my Dad mentioned to Danny and I to take the camera into a camera shop. His words... "they can fix this easily, don't worry Kati"...

Me thinking to myself "uhhh... shhh Dad!!! I don't want it fixed... I want an SLR!!!"

Sundays...

I always love Sundays. It seems like life is crazy and I can't catch a breath all week long, and then it's Sunday. I love that it's a day Danny is home, and we have nothing else to do but spend time together.

Today was one fun Sunday. Lily and Macy have designed their own "podium" where they get up and bear their testimonies and give talks. It is sooo cute! After a few times of watching his sister's do this, Merrick decided to get up and bear his testimony. Then he gives Lily kisses and runs from her laughing so cute. Check out this video clip if you want to hear what he has to say.

So I am no longer working from home doing office work for the pest control company. It has only been a week since I've been done and I just have to say, it's been heaven! I wake up in the morning and only have to think about my 3 kids, what they need, and what needs to be done in the house. No more phones ringing all day long, and feeling like I'm going to have a nervous break down!

So~ I have made some new goals and have a whole new outlook on being a "stay at home" mom. I want to cherish every moment with them and never want them to feel like a burden. They are my main focus. They are MY LIFE. So we may not have extra money anymore... but we will make it through. We always have! Somehow, even when the numbers don't add up, Heavenly Father has always made up the difference when it seems like it won't work. I have testimony of this. It is comforting to know that he has promised certain blessings when you obey certain commandments.

Of course I am still running La B ebe Boutique and Macymae Clippies and loving it! This is something I can do on my own time, when my kids are sleeping, or when Danny is home. I also have had to face the fact that I may not have a huge business at this point in my life. Being a mom of 3 little ones, with a husband who works very long hours... it's almost impossible! Again, I am ok with this. I love what I do and that is why I started it. So I will continue to enjoy having a baby boutique, designing Macymae Clippies, and letting it be what it is.

I am grateful for many things in my life. Today I feel especially grateful for some very good friends I have in my ward. They are such a great example to me. I learn so much from each of them and admire each of them for their own individual strengths. I have never had a group of friends that I can laugh and cry with in the same conversation. We have a blast together and I even have many times I feel the spirit during our discussions. They truly lift me up and make me want to be a better person. Thank you girlies!

Today I went over to my sister's house, Lindsay, to snap some pics of her new baby for announcements. Well, I couldn't help myself... I had to take a few of my little man. He's just too cute to pass up!

10K in Flagstaff

Today I accomplished a huge goal.
I ran my first 10k with my good friend Ami Bethea, and my sister
Mallory. This race is known as the most "scenic and difficult in the Southwest". The extremely HIGH elevation made it very
difficult to breathe, not to mention, it was very rough terrain. Just to give you an idea, it's like hiking up, UP, a big mountain- but running!

A Few Memories of the Race:
1.No trails
2. Feeling like I was suffocating
3. stumbling over log stumps and rocks
4. twisting both ankles
5. allergic reaction to something in the air
6. a rock stuck in my shoe (that I stopped and tried to get out 3x.)
7. my Ipod quitting on me!

It was so hard, but I feel great knowing I finished and
that I can do it,

Last night Danny comes home from Ryan Olsen's house with this...

It was late, about 11 at night when he came home. It took a while for him to come in the house after he pulled into the garage. I was wondering what he was up to. I kept hearing this "baaaaa" sound while I was peacefully trying to watch one of my favorite movies, Serendipity. He came in and I could tell he was up to something. I paused the tv and said, "Danny, what is that sound? It is driving me nuts!" I get up off the couch and look out back and see this goat.

Seriously, so typical of Ryan and Danny! Thanks Amber, tell Ryan to stop giving Danny "presents". (Ha, ha.)

I told Danny that Max, (the girls woke up and named him this morning) is going back HOME today. :)

Lewis Reunion

We went to bear lake in Utah for our reunion. We had a blast out at the beach every day. Our condo's were right off the beach, it was so relaxing.

Las Vegas

Danny in our NYNY hotel relaxing after our drive. Merrick was amazed at the view... I couldn't help but have a knot in my stomach wathing him up on that glass. We were on the 15th floor.

Here we are our first night at Chen's Chinese food in NYNY. The best chinese place ever. (Our family has discovered from our various Vegas trips:)

There is also a Coca Cola store in Vegas. (my favorite of them all... )
Here we are. Lindsay, Bailee, Mom, Me and Kassady. Not all of our family was able to come. We missed Hayley and her family, Mallory since she had a very important interview with Banner, Lance and Jen, and Brady and Carlie didn't stop by Vegas. By the way, we are on our way to our Lewis family reunion at Bear Lake in Utah. We always look for an excuse to stop by in Vegas and have a blast at all of our favorite spots. So since it was on the way....

The ceiling is amazing architecture, and it really looks like the real sky. When it storms there is rain, thunder and all. Even the ceiling gets dark and cloudy. LOVED IT!

Happy Mothers' Day

Yesterday was great! I love being with my family, and Mothers' Day
was fabulous. We went to church of course, then went for dinner
at Danny's parents' and stopped by to see my Mom on our way home.
I was actually able to get a picture of me and my 3 kids yesterday. I think this
is the first picture I have of just Lily, Macy, Merrick and I. I love being
a Mom... it is all I've ever wanted in my life and I feel so blessed to have
3 healthy, beautiful children. They mean the world to me! I hope all you
Mom's out there had a great Mothers' Day!

Well, we went to Rocky Point this last week for our very first time! It was interesting to say the least- maybe because we went during Spring Break??? Ha, ha! We had a blast with my sis Lindz, Dave and Madison. We stayed in their travel trailer which is very nice and comfy! We ate yummy burros and taco's all day and layed out on the beach. One night Lindsay and I decided to get away for a while and we snuck over to the "wild side" where the spring breaker's were. We were cracking up so bad watching them. We had quite a few stories to come back and tell our husbands'!!! Love ya Lindz!

I LOVE San Francisco! My sisters and I went back in December of 2004 when I was pregnant with Macy and had the time of our lives! We went again (Standifird Family) back in July and again had a blast! I just love the downtown atmosphere. I could live there!!!

Memorial Day

Memorial day was a lot of fun. I was so excited to have Danny home and be able to go spend time together! First we went to my Papa's grave to remember him and his service for our country. He was a pilot in World War II. Cutest little grandpa ever! This shot is so cute of Lily and Macy walking together with their cousins!
